What is Revenue Based Financing?

Revenue-Based Financing is an easy, fast and flexible way to get the funds you need to grow, without diluting your ownership or having to provide collateral or personal guarantees.

With Revenue Based Financing, your business is assessed based on the performance of your online store. If you are approved for funding, you get funds send directly to your bank account and then you repay the funding using a percentage of your daily revenue.

Requirements to Get Funding

What are the requirements to get funding from Wayflyer?

To get funding from Wayflyer you need to:

  • Be an eCommerce company selling products online
  • Have been in business for at least 6 months
  • Have at least $20,000 in average monthly online revenue
  • Be incorporated in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, or Sweden.

Does Wayflyer fund dropshippers?

No. Wayflyer does not currently work with dropshippers and only provides funding to companies who hold their own stock..

Does Wayflyer provide funding to start a new business?

No. We require companies to have been operating for a minimum of 6 months and to have at least $20,000 in average monthly online revenue.

I sell online and through physical retail / wholesalers, can Wayflyer still fund me?

Yes. Lots of our customers sell their products through multiple channels.

What if I don't have Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento?

The main way we determine how much funding we can offer a company is by analysing your performance by connecting to your eCommerce platform.

If your business doesn’t use those eCommerce platforms and you have revenue over $20,000 per month, just send an email to and our team will be in touch with you to discuss your options.

Applying for Funding

How do I get funding from Wayflyer?

There are 5 simple and easy steps to get funding from Wayflyer;

  1. Sign up and create a Wayflyer account
  2. Connect your eCommerce, Marketing and Google Analytics platforms to Wayflyer. You can also provide your bank statements at this point if you want to speed up the process.
  3. Discuss your funding options with the Wayflyer team.
  4. Once you are happy with a funding option, send some identification documents, and answer a few additional questions from our Finance team.
  5. We send you a contract and once signed, we send the funds to your bank account.

How long does it take to get funding from Wayflyer?

How much funding can I get from Wayflyer?

We can provide up to $20 million in funding. Each company is analysed on a case by case basis so once you sign up and connect your platforms, we will create the best tailored offers for you.

What platforms do I need to connect to Wayflyer?

We ask you to connect 4 types of platforms to Wayflyer:

  1. Your eCommerce platform (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento)
  2. Your marketing platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google Ads)
  3. Your analytics platform (e.g., Google Analytics)
  4. Your bank account (if based in the US)

You can always log back into your Wayflyer account and connect or disconnect these platforms at any time.

How do I connect my platforms to Wayflyer?

You can connect your platforms to Wayflyer during the sign up process or by logging in to your Wayflyer account at any time.

if you don't have access to one of your platforms, you need to find the person at your company (or your marketing agency) who does.

Once you find out who this person is, you can then add them as a user to your Wayflyer account from within your Wayflyer dashboard. They can then log in to Wayflyer and connect your platform.

Funding Fees and Terms

How does Wayflyer funding work?

Wayflyer provides funding to eCommerce companies which is then paid back using a percentage of your daily revenue.

For every funding offer, there are three terms to be aware of;

  1. The Funding Amount - this is the funding you will receive from Wayflyer (for example; $100,000)
  2. The Fee - A fee is applied to the total amount of funding you get, this is normally a percentage. In this example, let’s say it’s 6%. So, if you take $100,000 of funding, at a 6% fee, the fee will be $6,000. This means the total amount to be repaid to Wayflyer will be $106,000 (The Funding Amount + the Fee). This is not an interest rate.
  3. The Repayment Rate - this is the percentage of your daily sales which will be used to repay Wayflyer. In this example, let’s say it’s 12%. Therefore, 12% of your online sales will be sent to Wayflyer each day until the $106,000 is repaid.

Are there any other fees?


We like to keep things simple and we hate surprises. Signing up and applying for funding is completely free. There are no origination fees, no annual fees, no monthly maintenance fees, no documentation fees, no interest rates and no other hidden fees.

How are the funding offers generated?

Funding offers are based on several factors, including your financial performance and historic marketing performance. The more revenue you generate and the better your marketing performance, the more funding that will be available to you.

We will always generate a number of funding offers for you, allowing you to choose the one that works best for your needs.

How long does it take to repay Wayflyer funding?

This will depend on how much funding you take, the Repayment Rate and your online sales. If you choose a higher repayment rate, you will repay the full amount quicker than if you had a lower repayment rate. 

Also, if your sales increase, you will repay the total amount quicker.

If your sales slow down, then you will repay Wayflyer at a slower rate.

Can I make early repayments?

Yes. You can make manual payments toward your balance at any time and there is no charge or penalty for early repayment. If you wish to do this, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Will I get better terms if I've worked with Wayflyer before?

Typically, yes. Once you have worked with us for a while, we get to know your business better. If your business is growing and performing well, you will usually be able to get more funding and at even better terms.

Where does Wayflyer funding come from?

The funding is provided directly by Wayflyer and your contract will be with Wayflyer. There are no 3rd parties involved.


How do repayments work?

Each day, repayments are made from your bank account to Wayflyer by an Automated Clearing House (ACH) Pull or a Direct Debit depending on your country. 

This amount is calculated each day by multiplying the Repayment Rate in your contract by the Sales collected through your online store that day. Therefore, the amount varies in line with your sales.

The ACH pull (Direct Debit) continues until the total amount is repaid.

What is my primary payment account?

This is the bank account to which we send the funding and take repayments from. You may have multiple bank accounts on file but you can only have one primary payment account with Wayflyer.

Is my data safe at Wayflyer?

Wayflyer uses best in class security practices and encryption technology to always keep your data safe. We hold your data solely for the purposes set out in our terms and conditions.

Here are some of the actions we take to maintain the safety of your data.

  1. Wayflyer is built on industry standard cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services. This infrastructure has the highest security standards and certifications.
  2. Wayflyer ensures data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  3. Wayflyer restricts access to customer data to only those employees who need it to do their job.
  4. Wayflyer runs on a zero trust corporate network i.e. we need a VPN to access the data.

Why does Wayflyer need access to my online marketing platforms?

Reviewing your advertising services gives Wayflyer a full picture of your business in real time without requiring you to submit additional paperwork. Link your business services once, and your account will remain connected to Wayflyer, until you disconnect. Connections help us understand your business not just at the time of qualification, but also on an ongoing basis so you don't have to reapply or re-enter your information. When you add additional data sources in the future, we'll use this data at the time it's added and every point thereafter. You can remove connections at any time.

Wayflyer Insights

What is Wayflyer Insights?

Once you have signed up and connected your platforms to Wayflyer, you will be able to access Wayflyer Insights.

Wayflyer Insights gives you one, simple way to view all of your marketing and sales performance in one place. We combine data from your marketing platforms, eCommerce platforms and Google Analytics, analyse them using our unique algorithms and show you the metrics you need in a set of informative dashboards.

These dashboards have all the most important metrics you need to run your business, including; Revenue, Marketing Spend, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

Wayflyer Cards

What is the Wayflyer Card?

The Wayflyer Card is a virtual Visa Card that you can use to pay for marketing expenses such as Google and Facebook Ads. You can receive some, or all of your advance using the Wayflyer Card. Fees are typically lower for funds advanced using the Wayflyer Card. The Wayflyer Card is available to our customers in the United Sates, European Union, and the United Kingdom.

How do I apply for the Wayflyer Card?

You won't need to apply for the card separately from your advance. When you discuss your financing needs with your Wayflyer Account Executive you can decide if you want some of your advance put on to the Wayflyer Card. The amounts and dates of funding you want on the Wayflyer Card will be included in your Advance Agreement.

What can I use the Wayflyer Card for?

You can spend the funds advanced on the Wayflyer Card on either marketing or advertising. For example, you can pay your Google or Facebook Ads, or, if your marketing agency accepts credit card payments, you can pay for that too.

I have funds on my Wayflyer Card, why is my purchase failing?

Your marketing supplier may use a different merchant category code than we were expecting. Please review your purchases in the Wayflyer Card section of your Wayflyer account. If you see a failed payment with a message of "We have prevented card use for merchant category code" and you believe this is a marketing supplier please contact who will help resolve the issue.
