Today, I’m excited to announce that Wayflyer is expanding into Spain and the Netherlands to help eCommerce businesses reach their growth potential.

With this expansion, our focus is to aid local market growth and support eCommerce founders with a range of financing and analytics solutions that help them access working capital, improve cash flow and drive sales.

We’ve also welcomed two new colleagues to the team. Marc Brichs has joined as our Spanish Country Manager and Matthijs Onland in the Netherlands as our Dutch Country Manager. Both Marc and Matthijs work closely with eCommerce founders in their local markets to help them achieve their short-term goals and work towards their long-term visions.

Unlocking growth alongside ambitious founders

A number of high-growth companies in both Spain and the Netherlands have already worked with Wayflyer to reach new heights. And in 2022 we’re aiming to deploy over $100m in both of these markets — helping local eCommerce founders rapidly increase their revenues.

One business that’s used Wayflyer’s funding to fuel its growth is Gray Label, a Dutch brand that makes sustainable clothing for children.

Gray Label was growing fast and partnered with us to fund inventory purchases to enable the business to keep up its trajectory. “The whole process was so easy and the communication was fast,” says Gray Label CFO, Wijnand Mirandolle.

Since working with us, Gray Label has grown its eCommerce revenue by 40% in just three months.

We’ve tailored our revenue-based finance solutions to align with the needs of modern businesses and founders who have experienced frustration with traditional finance providers and are seeking a long-term growth partner who ‘gets’ their business, goals, and values.

Both Marc and Matthijs — with the support of Wayflyer’s global team — will partner with our Spanish and Dutch customers, helping them to eliminate the roadblocks that are holding them back from reaching their potential.

Supporting businesses through fast growth and challenging times

The global eCommerce boom shows no sign of slowing. Ecommerce sales across Europe are expected to increase by $298bn from 2020 to 2025, and our decision to expand into high-growth markets – such as Spain and the Netherlands  – is an important step in our growth strategy. But also a key step in achieving our mission to support eCommerce founders globally.

And despite the incredible growth of the industry, let’s not pretend that 2021 has been plain sailing for eCommerce companies and founders who have faced extraordinary challenges. From the pandemic and global supply chain issues to the rising cost of advertising and customer acquisition, this year has been anything but straightforward.

Alongside the capital we’ll be deploying in these new markets, we’re also making great strides in the support we’re able to offer customers with a global network of offices enabling 24-hour coverage and a team of eCommerce experts on hand to help at any moment.

Join our journey and help shape the future of eCommerce

As one of Europe’s fastest-growing FinTechs, Wayflyer provides a range of financing and market analytics tools designed to equip eCommerce businesses with the working capital and market insights they need to improve performance and reach their growth potential.

We opened our first U.S office in Atlanta, GA, earlier this year and there are plans to grow operations in Australia, France, and other European countries alongside Spain and the Netherlands during the coming months.

Our plans for 2022 are incredibly ambitious and we have a range of open roles with huge opportunities for personal and professional growth.
